However… Three weeks ago we visited and I was served by a lady who had so little command of the English language that I found myself speaking to her in the slow, deliberate way that Brits abroad do when on holiday! Even then the order went totally pear-shaped and instead of putting down two large glasses of red wine, she put down a whole bottle and one large glass!

I realised this on paying the bill and then things got in a state of panic when they tried to organise a refund. Then it transpired that their one and only corkscrew was up the swanny and, despite the fact that it was passed around between all the staff behind the tills, no one could open my wine with it.

Anyway, we went again this week and — what do you know? I asked to have a look and sure enough, there was the old busted corkscrew in an even worse state of collapse and now totally unusable. It beggars belief! Amazingly inefficient and dippy management. The food was great, though! Great food but cold atmosphere and far too loud. We were sat near door and froze. Please fix the door heater before next winter. I went to this restaurant because my kids wanted chicken.

My daughter, who is a nurse, showed her ID and reminded them several times that she should get a discount advertised by Nandos. Despite this they forgot to do it and simply said that they would remember for next time. The rest of the service was average and so was the food, but I didn't really have high expectations. I have eaten at Nandos before and will do so again, but it could be a lot better.
