Why does charles barkley hate san antonio
This is a major accomplishment for the young team. The Grizzlies previously made three appearances in the postseason, with three consecutive sweeps. However, the thing that caught my attention today was Charles Barkley and his comments towards the San Antonio Spurs.
In the pre-game show Barkley called the Spurs overrated and then proceeded to trash everything about the city of San Antonio. He took a jab at the BSC ranking arguing there is no arbitrary ranking system in the pros and if you win 61 games you must be a good team. Tim Duncan has been in the news recently for his comments alleging that the Grizzlies purposely tanked the final two games of the season in an attempt to get a first round matchup with the Spurs. San Antonio has won four championships since Duncan joined the franchise.
The team has the best record in the NBA. The team has almost no playoff experience. It has been a running joke that Barkley thinks women in San Antonio are not the most attractive. But this is something that has been running now for several years.
Barkley has no reason to hate the Spurs or the fine city of San Antonio. In fact, his greatest Playoff moment might have come when he drained a series-winning jumper in Game Six of the Western Conference Semis.
These numbers seem terrible to me. Prediction: The lack of vaccinated NFL players will become an enormous story line in August when the season is getting ready to return. This is a great thread by former Major League pitcher Jerry Blevins on the sticky stuff controversy. Stugotz also talks about the intense loyalty of the Le Batard Show 's listeners, and why he thinks the fans love the show so much.
Other topics discussed include the importance of keeping up with the changing media landscape, being a kid at heart, how his relationship with sports has changed, what listeners want the most, perks of being partners with DraftKings, the problem with the Nets, why he loves Chris "Mad Dog" Russo and much more.
You can listen to the podcast below or download it on Apple , Spotify and Stitcher. He defended his actions, in the name of "fun. One of the hosts mentioned San Antonio's struggle with health issues, as if that validates the jokes. There's no mention of the city's deep-rooted economic segregation and food deserts, but by all means Barkley also discussed his fitness journey and how he's adjusted his eating habits in recent years and says he has lost 82 pounds after a hip surgery.
He says he enjoys biking and doesn't feel like exercising when he's riding, which is great.
