Loading Comments I recently watched a YouTube video of a gal that had bleached blonde hair and used the red wine Henna Maiden and it looked fantastic.

It seems as if there would be a catch.. Do I go for that same brand or what brand should I trust for my hair condition from what I described. If you could offer any support of truth I would greatly appreciate your help towards my concerns. Thank you again for your post! Thank you for sharing this! My hair did the exact same thing!

I used the same colors dyes and henna Its terrible looking, just like a pumpkin. I see this is an old post but I need your advice! My hair is naturally a dark brown with stubborn grays. Decided to use henna and indigo to cover the grays while saving money too over a year ago.

My hair presently looks more black with dark red highlights mostly in the crown area. What I would like to do is just lighten some in it either the front only or just the ends not my entire head. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I alternate between applications of red henna and commercial semi permanents.

In the summer i tried a few henna indigo applications. It is going very slowly. U can hardly see any difference. I have tried 5 applications with a month interval. Im ready for the salon now to do it,as the nleach cant penetrate the henna. This is so old this thread.

But i had burgundy henna in my hair. That a month later did a demi dark brown dye over it. My hair color is awesome now. I did two sets on highlights with bleach obviously within the past month. My hair picked up red and orange so i toned it with wella 7aa its a green based medium ash blonde and deposits A Lot of color. If youre hair is more orange 7a is a blue base and will absolutely cover it. But i have ash blonde highlights in caramel hair. It certainly isn't for everyone and she did warn me that I'd need to play up my makeup to not look washed out.

But it's exactly the change I wanted and eventually, when the henna parts grow out, I'll move towards pastel pink. In the months to come, though, I'm quite happy with my flame-ombre hair!

Best of all, the texture really feels completely fine, though I'm continuing to condition like crazy. In the 'after' photo it looks a bit crunchy, but that's because she curled my hair and set it with a ton of hairspray, just to play up the attention-getting colour.

I also didn't have to lose any length, as she said the ends looked healthy enough to stay. Now, to pictures! Here's my hair as it looked for the past 5 years- used to be very long, then short as of a year ago: And here's the result of my transformation!

Anyways, I hope that was helpful to anyone considering a similar transformation, either as an inspiration or as a warning of what bleached henna looks like! If anyone's interested, these are the hair products that seem to work for me: Shampoo: Frederic Fekkai Color Care- used it for years with henna and it was always gentle on the colour, and intend to keep using it now! Conditioner: Frederic Fekkai Color Care again, it's seemed to do the most good for my poor bleached tresses Treatments: Beyond the Zone Dare to Repair, both the one that comes in a "needle" very little product comes out but I'm a sucker for a gimmick and the normal sized overnight treatment.

WOW, you really did find an artist to do your hair; it looks beautiful. I wish you lots of luck and fun with your ongoing colour progress. August 29th, , PM 6. You're much luckier than I was, but I'd not touch it with more treatments after this Well, I bleached my henna off well my mom did that for me until it was the color you have now, with some red faded spots still here and there.

She put a light brown dye over it.
